Mobile Audio Plus

Disappointing Experience with Remote Start My remote start stopped working, so I called Mobile Audio to make an appointment. I was told they would be happy to take a look at it, and if they couldn’t fix it, they could install a new one for $150. No diagnostic fee was mentioned, so I assumed there would be no charge just to have it looked at. When I brought my vehicle in, I waited while they checked it. When he came back, he said he couldn’t get the existing remote start to work and had gone ahead and installed a new one. I was then told the cost was $100 for the diagnostic or $200 for the new system. I paid and left feeling pretty frustrated and, honestly, like I had been taken advantage of. A month later, I’m still bothered enough by the experience to leave this review. My advice is to get the price for the diagnostic and any potential repairs clearly stated upfront before agreeing to anything. Based on my experience, the price I was originally told was not the price I ended up paying. Also, there is a sign on the door stating there is a 3% fee for credit card payments. This was not mentioned when I made the appointment or on their website. Just a fair warning to anyone cons

Had to get Intoxolock in my car after a DUI. The staff at mobile audio was able to get the installation, repeating calibrations, and removal taken care of AND answered any questions I had along the way. Even when I couldn’t get the answer from Intoxolock or the ILSOS. Would recommend them for this service to anyone going through this situation.

Need my front door speakers replaced. I was able to quickly book an appointment a week in advance, and was able to drop my car off before they opened at 9. They were quick, proffessional, replaced my speakers with ones I brought in, and charged a reasonable price overall. Would highly recommend (just mighty unfortunate I live in Champaign lol)

I have used Mobile Audio Plus’ services numerous times over the past 2 decades, including installation of 3 remote starters in various vehicles. The latest service provided was installation of a video camera system with a backup battery in a new vehicle. All 4 installations were excellent and had no visible wires. The products worked as expected, and they took good care of our vehicles. I appreciate their attention to detail as well as their friendly and knowledgeable service.

They did a great job installing an auto-vox V5 streaming rear view camera system. You'd think it was installed in the factory. They also wired it into my fuse box. They mounted the rear camera directly to the underside of the hatch. I have far better visibility now. The three frames of the collage are: outside the car with a wide angle view, the view from the camera, and the view from inside of the hatch with the camera attached.
